Transformed recruitment process in a retail conglomerate with 300+ positions

Our team embarked on a transformative journey with a retail conglomerate, servicing over 300 positions. The challenges were stark – high recruitment costs, undefined TATs affecting hiring precision, and a lack of campus outreach. Our mission was clear: streamline recruitment processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the candidate experience.

Challenges:

  • High recruitment cost per hire
  • Undefined recruitment TATs impacting the hiring approach
  • Lack of recruitment tracker adherence by COE
  • Absence of campus outreach

Solutions:

  • Defined and standardized recruitment tracker
  • Introduced Offer, Joined TAT, and SOPs for data processes
  • Implemented hiring manager feedback mechanism
  • Created vertical-wise, business-wise, recruiter-wise data
  • Educated stakeholders on TATs and Reverse TATs

Actions speak louder than words:

  • Average recruitment TAT reduced to 37 days in FY 22-23
  • Recruitment cost/hire reduced by 67%
  • Recruitment tracker with dashboards up to CHRO level
  • Enhanced hiring manager awareness of recruitment needs
  • Initiated campus recruitment drives to bolster brand influence

Lessons Learned:

This project underscored the importance of user-centric design and collaboration across departments. By understanding user pain points and implementing tailored solutions, we were able to drive tangible improvements in recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.
